For our project “Drive systems and energy converters of the future”, B + K received the Lusatian Science Transfer Prize (LWTP) together with the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

As part of the project, the transfer partners develop, produce and market cutting-edge technologies for converting chemically bound energy into electrical energy. Thanks to the modular conception, implemented systems can convert various energy carriers and high-temperature heat into electrical energy. The ClinX CHP system, for example, uses residual wood and uses it to generate not only highly efficient heat, but also electricity from renewable energies. “The remaining thermal energy can be used for the required heating and drying systems. That is environmentally friendly and conserves fossil resources ”, says Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinz Peter Berg, partner of B + K.
The LWTP has been advertised annually by the Lausitz eV Economic Initiative since 2011. The aim of the competition is to improve and further expand the networking between Lusatian companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, in Brandenburg and Saxony with universities and scientific institutions. The LWTP honors outstanding and exemplary projects that promote research and development, innovations, technological competence, knowledge and practice transfer in the mutual transfer between companies in Lusatia and universities.
