We are an engineering company in Cottbus and have been developing energy technology and turbomachinery for our customers since 2012.
01 · Who we are
German Engineering for energy technology and turbomachinery
ClinX Energy Systems is an engineering company from Cottbus. We develop micro gas turbines and their components: compressors and turbines, foil air bearings, high-speed generators, combustors and heat exchangers. We also cover test benches and series production planning.
Our team comes from research in flight propulsion, turbomachinery and energy technology. We work for manufacturers, plant builders and research institutions that need high-speed components or energy technology.
02 · History
From BTU Cottbus to ClinX Energy Systems
Our roots lie at the Chair of Combustion Engines and Flight Propulsion at BTU Cottbus (Brandenburg University of Technology), where research was carried out on micro gas turbines. ClinX Energy Systems was founded in Cottbus in 2012 out of this environment.

ClinX Energy Systems is founded in Cottbus. The team’s roots lie in micro gas turbine research at BTU Cottbus.

Berlin-Brandenburg Innovation Award
Award in the energy technology category.
2019
“Leuchtturm im Osten” (Lighthouse of the East) and Transfer Award
Wirtschaft+Markt magazine ranks us among the most innovative companies in eastern Germany. The ClinX energy converter wins the 1st Lusatian Science Transfer Award.

03 · Location
Our location: Cottbus in Lusatia
Lusatia has been an energy region for generations, shaped by machines such as the F60 overburden conveyor bridge. Today it is undergoing structural change. We want technology to continue to be developed and built here.
Workshop and test benches are located in Cottbus. Manufacturing is done with qualified partners from the region.

Our team
Our team includes engineers from flight propulsion, aerospace, turbomachinery and lightweight design. They are joined by specialists in control, automation and software, as well as skilled workers in power electronics and welding.
The City of Cottbus recognised ClinX Energy Systems as an Attractive Employer in 2022 and 2024.
