FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
ADVANTAGES OF COMBINED HEAT-POWER(CHP)?
When electricity and heat are generated separately, a large part of the energy will be lost. This can be avoided by using Combined Heat-Power (CHP), saving energy and thus CO2. If fossil fuels are used in the Combined Heat-Power (CHP) system, in which case the cogeneration will still be harmful to the climate. ClinX combines the advantages of CHP with the advantages of renewable energies. In this way, energy can be generated in a particularly efficient, sustainable and climate-friendly way.
WHAT IS DECARBONIZATION?
In short, decarburization is the ability to reduce carbon dioxide emissions through the use of low-carbon energy sources, resulting in lower emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere.
WHAT DOES ENERGETIC USE OF RESIDUES MEAN?
There is enormous potential in the field of solid biogenic residues, which have so far mainly been used for thermal purposes. The total residual potential of dry substrate in Germany is approx. 151.1 million tons, of which about one third remains unused (43.1 million tons). This speaks especially for wood and forestry residues as well as agricultural by-products, for which there have been hardly any marketing opportunities so far. The reason for this is that the materials are highly heterogeneous consisted and could not be converted into energy by conventional systems. In addition, the materials here are usually produced in a decentralized way, so that their centralized recycling or disposal is associated with high transport and logistics costs.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE HEAT EXCHANGER?
high-temperature heat exchanger has a very good exchange ratio of around 87 %, and thanks to innovative materials, it is able to cope with inlet temperatures for 1000°C. This is around 200°C more than most metal series heat exchangers. The heat exchanger is not only characterized by its high temperature resistance, but also by its resistance to the chemical effects of the combustion gas. The flow-optimized design can be scaled to different power classes.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT OUR MICRO GAS TURBINE?
The B+K micro gas turbine is characterized in particular by its operation without operating materials such as lubrications or coolants. This leads to particularly low maintenance requirements and a long service life. B+K has mastered micro gas turbine technology. Several systems in the 35-300 kW electrical power range have already been developed.
