SPEAKER AT CHP SPECIALIST EVENT

We are very pleased to be able to present the topic “ Innovative use of biomass in district and local heating supply – opportunities for converting solid biomass into electricity ” as a keynote speaker at an event organized by the CHP-Consult.

The CHP specialist event “Innovative use of biomass in district and local heating supply – opportunities for converting solid biomass into electricity” will take place on March 9, 2021 as an online seminar.

For a successful heating transition, it is necessary to use more renewable, CO2-neutral heating technologies. In local heating supply concepts, green heat is a challenge for economic and technical reasons. Solid biomass, which occurs as residual material in industry, forestry and landscape maintenance, contains unused energy potential. For these mixed types of fuel, the technology of an externally fired micro gas turbine is suitable for converting it into green energy in the form of electricity, heat and cold. The aim of the online lecture is to show the possibility of supplementing existing technologies with bioenergy in district and local heating supply concepts as well as the economic advantages. In doing so, the special framework conditions of the generation of electricity from solid biomass are dealt with. The challenges in project implementation are illustrated using a practical example.
